What is the best advice your parent ever gave you?

From my father: Keep your head on. Meaning always make wise decisions and the other is something he said to my brother and not to me: Don't ever let anyone know your job better than you do. It's YOUR job so no one else should know it better than you. (That has been a mantra for me in my journey through life.

From my mom: When i think about it, it's never any advice per se that she gave, it's more the way she lived her life (maybe I should say lives - she's still alive) She works tirelessly hard and was never afraid to venture out and take risks!!!What is the best advice your parent ever gave you?
When I was young my Mom told me not to use drugs, all they did was intensified your personality, no one could answer the one question I asked...what if you were ditsy to begin with...to this day I have never done drugs because of thisWhat is the best advice your parent ever gave you?
Don't sweat the small stuff.
that I am very smart to make stupid mistakes and it works...Because I haven't done anything wrong in my life I love it and I am thankful for his advice...We all have brains so use it in a good way...
Treat other's the way you would want to be treated.
you reap what you sow!
they told me to shut up and go to bed!
1. Your word is your bond.

2. Never disagree with your husband (vise versa) in front of your children because your child could try to take advantage of the parent who's on their side.
My dad told me not to trust him or my mom....damn good advice since he turned out to be pretty worthless.
To be honest and true to myself. Respect others, bathe once a day. Lots more though.
Not to be scared of making mistakes, that I can learn by taking chances. ';You have to fall before you learn to walk';
that no matter how hard life seems sometimes that it is never as bad as it could be
No one is better than anyone, they might be better off, some have more, some have less, but everyone is the same.
Be with you partner, or spouse, or signifigant other because you

WANT to , not because you HAVE to.
You are out of the house when you turn 18, so you'd better think about going to college.
