Starting from ZERO? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

I am a foreign student. I will graduate in May. I have two plans for my future:

1.) Go back home and work

2.) Do OPT in US for a year (for experience and save my money), Then go back home next summer.

Regardless of the choice I will should. I will have to start from ZERO because I do not have anything besides little skills and knowledge, but tons of self-determination.

I am 22 years old female. I will have MPA in May. I would like to work for Non-Profit organizations. My goal is to help people and be happy with myself. Sometimes, it is hard because you have nothing right now. lol :)

Please advice. Thank you.Starting from ZERO? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
The US has a lot of opportunity in the not for profit sector. So if you can stay for a year under a practical training visa and get some experience, it sounds like a good idea! You can either then be sponsored for a visa to stay on or return to your home country with experience to help you get a job.

Many university graduates don't have a lot of experience on their resume, so don't be dissuaded. The two most important things are:

1) A good resume -- if you lack experience, highlight your educational background and any clubs or sports you participated in. Definitely mention any internships. Be sure the resume is accurate, spell-checked, and proof read by a friend or two. Include objectives so employers will know what you want. A good resume will help you get an interview.

2) Ability to articulate why you want to do this job (what your goals are, how you became interested, if you have any relevant education, etc.). It helps to research the agency so you are familiar with their mandate and objectives, so you can sound knowledgeable.

Good luck!Starting from ZERO? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
The choice is obvious. It would be of greater help for you to gain some experience that you can apply when you get home to your country.

Secondly, only when you do work will you be able to save money . You are on to a good start if you have lots of determination as that coupled with knowledge will definitely be your stepping stone to a successful career in the future.

Lastly, if your goal is to help people ..then your choice of a non profit organisation would be ideal in realising that objective.

As one spiritual leader said ';Service to Men is service to God';

All the best.
When you have something you have more options. Those options are what cause the dilemmas in life. When you have nothing you don't have to: protect it, spend it, keep it, move it, give it, or lose it. Nothing can give you more freedom then having something you don't need.
